Digital Skills & Wellbeing

We want to help young people gain digital skills from a young age and also gain understanding of digital wellbeing and safety online.

By delivering workshops in schools in Harrow, we aim to educate young people, in depth, with a fun and interactive programme of activities focused on digital wellbeing.

Equality and diversity in the videogames industry for the pipeline of talent remains an issue and we also aim to introduce careers workshops on different roles possible in the videogames industry that spans creative and technical skills.

About Us

Moves & Play is a charity focused on bringing communities together and supporting children and young people to thrive through access to opportunities for physical activity and digital skills.

We have over 15 years of experience working in the videogames industry, working across the ecosystem: within a games studio focused on STEM games across platforms, with game developers starting our with fresh ideas, university students looking to get access to entrepreneurial opportunities in the industry and running a successful three year global and UK based incubator programme to support young people from diverse backgrounds start their own games business.

We are also passionate about sport and physical activity and value the importance of community in helping children and young people and their communities to feel more connected and supported. Our experience working at a charity focused on helping Londoners get physically active and designing a sport tech programme to support start-ups use digital means to support these aims was invaluable in understanding the barriers to physical activity participation across communities and children and young people.
